| The team of Fred Eisele, Ed Kosciuch, David Tan, Steve Brooks, and Joe Mastromarino got in to the Pole 11/15. The NOAA acoustic sounder person was already here but having problems, maybe because of temperature. The temperature is -43 C and needs to warm up to use the crane. No crane Sun (no operators)or Mon but hopefully Tues weather permitting. ARO looks good though (empty). It should be possible to get Dave Tan's power etc up quickly. The 2 down days should be worth while because is will be possible to get things ready for the crane's arrival at ARO, that is if the weather warms not cools. |
